About Vestra Homecare

Part of the Community

For over 20 years, our team of trained care assistants have been supporting vulnerable adults across the North East. For many, home care is a much more effective option than moving into a care home, enabling individuals to remain living independently in their own home for as long as they wish. We provide services from 30 minute pop in visits to 24-hour live-in care.

Our company name translates as ‘Your Homecare’, a phrase around which the company bases its entire ethos. Our team at Vestra Homecare will provide a bespoke service for you that will be tailored to your individual needs. We recognise that no individual is the same and will create a plan that will provide you with flexibility and independence, enabling you to remain living in your own home.

Our team

Vestra Homecare is a family business owned and operated locally. The directors, who have known each other for over 20 years, have over 50 years’ experience delivering homecare in the North East of England, and hope to use these skills to meet the unique needs of every customer cared for by Vestra Homecare.

Our Care Team

We ensure your care is delivered by dedicated, caring and well-trained staff. We recognise that you are inviting them into your home and want a staff team that you can trust and will treat you with dignity and respect. All employees of Vestra Homecare are subject to vigorous recruitment and selection process that includes referencing, background and criminal record checks. Prospective employees are then required to successfully complete our comprehensive face to face induction training program held at our local offices that covers nationally recognised topics, known as the Care Certificate.

As a company we pride ourselves on ensuring our staff receive the best possible training, and therefore our employee learning journey does not end at induction. We continue to invest in our employees offering them regular update training, client specific training courses and the opportunity to undertake recognised qualifications such as QCF Diplomas Levels 2, 3, and 4, and NFCE accredited courses in subjects such as Safe Handling of Medications and Dementia Awareness.
