Tracy - Hartlepool's Vestra Star of the Month for September 2025

At Vestra Homecare, we see every day how care can change lives.

One gentleman who suffers with Autism, used to spend most of his time in the pub, which wasn’t good for his health or wellbeing. Since Tracy began supporting him, with her encouragement, his life has taken a new direction. She’s helped him to get a fresh haircut, update his wardrobe, and rediscover new interests. Today, they enjoy trips to museums, walks in the park, and coffee shop catchups. Experiences that have completely transformed his day-to-day life.

We want to say a huge thank you to Tracy for showing how care isn’t just a job — it’s about making real differences in people’s lives.

Denise – what can we say? She’s an absolute star! Loved by everyone who meets her, Denise brings years of care experience, compassion, and dedication to her role every single day.

Her ability to connect with the people she supports is truly special. Recently, Denise has been working with a lady who found it difficult to accept help from care workers. Through patience, kindness, and trust, Denise has built a wonderful bond, supporting her with personal care, encouraging family communication, and helping her make incredible progress.

Recently, a family reached out for support with their loved one, whose hair had become tangled and difficult to manage. Vicki didn’t just help, she went above and beyond.

She arranged for a hairdresser to visit, creating a calm, trusting environment. Together, they washed, cut, and styled her hair, leaving her feeling confident, happy, and cared for.

She regularly goes beyond what is required to ensure the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of the people she supports — whether it’s driving across town to pick up medication or taking extra time to support a service user to shower at their own pace.
