The final Vestra Star of the Month for August is Alison from our Stockton & Middlesbrough team, recognised for her quick thinking, care and swift action when it mattered most.
When Alison arrived at a service user’s home, she immediately recognised that something wasn’t right. The previous day the couple had received a call from someone claiming to be from their bank, who had instructed them to send a large sum of money in cash by post.
Alison acted quickly, raising the concern with the office and contacting the police. Thanks to her speedy response, the parcel was intercepted by the police.
Alison’s awareness and quick action helped ensure that the situation was dealt with promptly and that the people we support were protected.
