Our July Vestra Star celebrations begin in Sunderland, with a story that really shows what it means to go above and beyond.
A huge congratulations to Donna, our July Vestra Star!
Donna went above and beyond during a challenging situation last month when a leak from the flat above one of her service users caused significant damage, with the ceiling actually coming down, including the light fittings.
Despite the situation, Donna remained calm, caring and focused on keeping everyone safe. She supported her service user’s neighbours, checked on the resident upstairs with the leak, contacted engineers, the housing provider and Fire Service, and stayed with her service user until their family arrived.
Donna showed compassion, initiative and genuine care when it mattered most.
Well done, Donna! A very deserving Vestra Star.
