Millie has earned this award through her outstanding quick thinking and decisive actions during a recent visit to one of the people we support.
Upon entering the gentleman's home, Millie immediately noticed the smell of gas. Recognising the potential danger, she acted without hesitation. She opened the windows to ventilate the property, contacted emergency services, and called for an ambulance to ensure the gentleman received the support he needed.
Millie remained calm throughout the situation and stayed with the gentleman until the ambulance arrived and he had been checked over, providing reassurance and support every step of the way.
Millie, thank you for your professionalism, vigilance, and swift actions. Your response could have prevented a very serious incident, and it is a wonderful example of the dedication our care teams show every day.
